Tamil Day Celebrations
Tamil Day, celebrated on August 5th in honour of Rajah Sir Muthaiah Chettiar, was a joyful celebration of Tamil language and culture. Dressed in traditional attire, our children took part in Tamil Thai Vazhthu, animal-mask storytelling, Kummi dance, Thirukkural recitation, tongue twisters, proverbs with English meanings, and fun picture-based word games.
A special highlight of the day was the traditional food brought by the children, which they shared and enjoyed together. This simple act of eating together strengthened their sense of community, connection, and togetherness.
The celebrations helped deepen the children’s love for the Tamil language while also nurturing important skills and attitudes such as teamwork, cultural appreciation, communication, confidence, and respect for heritage. It was a meaningful experience that brought learning to life through joy and participation.
The event concluded with the National Anthem, leaving everyone with warm memories and a renewed pride.
