Curriculum
The Cambridge Primary Programme offers a balanced and future-ready education that blends the rigour of the Cambridge International curriculum with rich cultural and ethical values. We nurture confident, curious, and compassionate learners who are proud of their roots and prepared for global opportunities. Learning in the core subjects of English, Mathematics, Science, and Global Perspectives is meaningfully integrated with the arts, music, movement, and creative expression, enabling learners to explore concepts deeply, think creatively, and make real-world connections. With a child-centred and learner-led approach, our facilitators nurture each child’s interests and strengths from the early years by building strong foundational skills such as questioning, reasoning, collaboration, reflection, and taking ownership of their learning journey. Through experiential and inquiry-based practices, learners develop the confidence, curiosity, and compassion needed to thrive in an interconnected world.
English
Cambridge Primary English focuses on developing learners’ skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening, in line with Cambridge learning objectives. Learners engage with a wide range of age-appropriate texts to build comprehension, vocabulary, and language structure, while structured discussions, storytelling, and presentations strengthen oral communication. Writing tasks progress from guided to independent work, enabling learners to plan, draft, edit, and reflect on their writing. As a result, learners become confident communicators, capable of expressing ideas clearly, responding thoughtfully to texts, and using language effectively across contexts.
Learner Outcomes:
- Communicate ideas clearly in spoken and written forms
- Read with understanding and respond critically to texts
- Write for different purposes with increasing accuracy and confidence
Mathematics
Our Cambridge Primary Mathematics is designed to develop conceptual understanding, fluency, and problem-solving, as outlined in Cambridge learning objectives. Learners explore mathematical ideas through manipulatives, visual models, real-life contexts, and collaborative tasks, allowing them to reason, conjecture, and justify their thinking. Classroom practices include mental math strategies, investigations, and reflective discussions, encouraging learners to use multiple methods to solve problems. This approach nurtures confident, resilient, and reflective problem-solvers who can apply mathematics meaningfully beyond the classroom.
Learner Outcomes:
- Demonstrate secure understanding of number, shape, and data
- Apply mathematical strategies to real-life situations
- Explain reasoning using appropriate mathematical language
Science
Through Cambridge Primary Science we build learners’ understanding of scientific concepts while developing scientific enquiry skills, in line with Cambridge objectives. Learning is hands-on and inquiry-driven, with learners planning investigations, making predictions, observing patterns, recording data, and drawing conclusions. Classroom experiences such as experiments, nature studies, and collaborative investigations help learners develop curiosity, accuracy, and responsibility. Through reflection and discussion, learners gain an appreciation of scientific processes and their relevance to everyday life.
Learner Outcomes:
- Ask questions and conduct simple investigations
- Use evidence to explain scientific ideas
- Develop awareness of environmental responsibility and safety
Global Perspectives
In Cambridge Primary Global Perspectives learners develop research, collaboration, communication, and reflection skills while exploring local and global issues. Aligned with Cambridge objectives, learners inquire into topics such as sustainability, health, and community, using age-appropriate sources and guided research tasks. Classroom activities include group discussions, role-play, presentations, and action projects, enabling learners to consider multiple viewpoints and ethical perspectives. This supports the development of engaged, responsible, and reflective learners who understand their role in a global context.
Learner Outcomes:
- Research and present information using simple sources
- Work collaboratively and respect diverse perspectives
- Reflect on issues and suggest responsible actions
